Patchstack Protection is licensed per website and works on any WordPress site, whether it is hosted with AEserver or elsewhere. Activation takes only a few minutes. If your site is hosted with AEserver, the plugin is installed and connected for you; sites hosted elsewhere install the plugin themselves.
Before you start #
- You need an AEserver account. The license is ordered and managed from your client area even if the site is hosted elsewhere.
- You need administrator access to the WordPress site you want to protect.
- One license covers one website. Protecting several sites means one license each.
Step 1: Order your license #
- Log in to your AEserver client area at my.aeserver.com.
- Open the Store and choose Patchstack Protection under WordPress Security, or tick it as an add-on during hosting checkout.
- Choose your billing cycle:
| Cycle | Price per website | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly | AED 150/year (AED 12.50/month equivalent) | Best value, save 17% |
| Monthly | AED 15/month | Pay as you go |
Prices exclude 5% VAT and can also be billed in USD. Complete checkout, and your license key is issued immediately under My Products and Services.
Step 2: The plugin is installed for you #
If your site is hosted with AEserver, there is nothing to install. The Patchstack plugin is deployed to your WordPress site automatically via your hosting control panel and connected to your license. Protection switches on by itself.
Your service page shows the two shortcuts you will use from here: Login to Patchstack opens the security portal, and Protected Site shows which WordPress installation is protected and how it is connected.
Step 3: Confirm protection is active #
Open Protected Site from your service page. This is the quickest way to check everything is working, and the first thing our support team will ask you to look at.
| Field | What you want to see |
|---|---|
| Domain | The WordPress site you intended to protect |
| Protection state | Active |
| Firewall | Enabled |
| Plugin | Installed, with a version number |
| Last sync | A recent time. This confirms the site is talking to Patchstack |
