Transfer .ae domain from other Registrars

Managing your .ae domain is a critical part of maintaining your online presence in the UAE. If your .ae domain is currently registered through a registrar or reseller, transferring it to a trusted and accredited registrar can provide better control, improved security, and long-term reliability.

AEserver is one of the few accredited registrars authorized by aeDA to manage .ae domains. Since .ae domains are widely used by businesses and individuals operating in the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that your domain remains secure and properly managed is extremely important.

Transferring your .ae domain is a simple and secure process. Follow the steps below to move your domain smoothly from your current registrar or reseller.

Step 1: Obtain the Authorization Code (EPP Code)

Before starting the transfer, ensure that you have full access to your domain and the registrant email address associated with it, as transfer-related notifications are typically sent there. If your domain is managed by a developer or reseller, you should request access or ask them to provide the domain transfer authorization code, also known as the EPP code.

You can obtain the EPP code by:

  • Logging into your current registrar account and requesting it from the domain management section
  • Contacting your reseller or service provider and requesting the transfer code
  • Using the official recovery tool if you are unable to obtain the code from your provider

Step 2: Log In or Create Your AEserver Account and Initiate the Transfer

Once you have obtained your authorization code, log in to your AEserver client account. If you do not already have an account, you can easily create one by registering with your details.

After logging in, navigate to the domain transfer section and enter your domain name along with the EPP authorization code. Once submitted, the transfer request will be initiated.

The transfer process does not require advance renewal and only changes the registrar managing your domain. Your existing domain services, including website and email, will continue to function normally as long as your nameservers remain unchanged.

Step 3: Wait for Transfer Completion

The .ae domain transfer process typically completes within 2 business days after the transfer request is successfully initiated. Once completed, your domain will appear in your AEserver dashboard, where you can fully manage DNS settings, renewals, and other domain services.

Why You Should Take Control of Your .ae Domain

Many businesses initially register their domains through web developers or resellers. While this may seem convenient in the beginning, it often results in limited access or dependency on third parties for critical domain decisions. As your business grows, your domain becomes a valuable digital asset. Premium domain names can gain significant aftermarket value, making ownership and control even more important.

Having direct access to your domain ensures it remains secure and fully under your control at all times. Your domain represents your brand identity, and maintaining proper ownership helps protect your business from potential risks or operational delays.

Your domain is one of your most valuable digital assets. Maintaining direct access and control helps ensure better security, transparency, and long-term protection for your business.

Transferring your .ae domain to an accredited registrar like AEserver is a straightforward and secure process that allows you to take full ownership of your online identity while benefiting from professional domain management services.
