Building your Spark AI website in a language other than English
Your prompt sets your language #
There is no language setting to choose. Spark AI detects the language of your prompt and writes the entire site in that language — every page, heading, button and form label.
So if you want an Arabic site, write your description in Arabic. If you want a French site, write it in French.
Supported languages #
Spark AI generates content in a wide range of languages. These are well supported:

Arabic and other right-to-left languages #
Write your prompt in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian or Urdu and Spark AI handles the direction change for you:
- Text direction is set to right-to-left automatically
- Layouts mirror, so navigation and headers sit correctly
- Text aligns to the right by default
- Mixed content — an English brand name inside Arabic copy, say — is handled properly
- Fonts that support the script are selected for you
You don’t need a plugin or a separate theme for this.
Regional details worth stating explicitly #
Language and locale aren’t the same thing. Spark AI follows direct instructions reliably, so spell these out in your prompt:
- Currency — “Show all pricing in AED”
- Location — “in Dubai Marina”
- Working week — “we are open Sunday to Thursday”
- Regional variant — “use UK English spelling”
We tested this with “Show all pricing in AED” and every menu item came back priced in dirhams:
Translating an existing site #
Already built your site in the wrong language, or want to move it to another? The AI Agent can translate content in place.
- For one section — turn on Quick Edit, hover it, click Ask AI and say “Translate this into Arabic”
- For a whole page — open the AI Agent and ask it to translate the current page
As always, the agent shows you the result and waits for you to click Save.
That said, a site generated in its target language from the start reads more naturally than a translated one. If you’re early enough in the process, resetting and re-prompting in the right language usually gives a better result than translating.
Sites in more than one language #
Spark AI builds one site in one language. For a genuinely bilingual site — an Arabic and English version with a language switcher — you’ll want a WordPress multilingual plugin on top.
- Build your site in your primary language with Spark AI.
- Ask the AI Agent to install a multilingual plugin — TranslatePress, Polylang and WPML all work well.
- Configure your primary and secondary languages in the plugin.
- Translate your pages through the plugin.
- Add the plugin’s language switcher to your navigation.
The plugin handles the language switcher, the URL structure and the hreflang tags that tell search engines which version to show.
The AI Agent replies in your language #
Whatever language you use in the chat, the agent answers in the same one — regardless of your site’s language. Ask a question in Arabic and you get an Arabic answer, even on an English site.
Two settings worth checking #
These two are separate, and they get confused a lot:
- Your site language — what your visitors read. Spark AI sets this from your prompt.
- Your WordPress admin language — what you read while working on the site. Set it under WP Admin → Settings → General → Site Language, to whichever language you prefer.
Troubleshooting #

| The site came out in mixed languages | Your prompt probably mixed languages. Reset and write it entirely in one, or ask the agent to fix the inconsistent sections. |
| Characters display as boxes or question marks | Usually a font problem. Ask the AI Agent to change the website fonts to one that supports your script. |
| A translation reads awkwardly | Select the block, click Ask AI, and ask for a rewrite with more context about your business. |
| Right-to-left layout looks wrong | Confirm the prompt was written in the RTL language rather than transliterated. Contact support if it persists. |
| Prices are in the wrong currency | Ask the agent to change them, or state the currency explicitly and regenerate. |
