🧾 How to Update Invoice Details in Your Account #
This guide will help you understand how invoice details work in your client area and what to do if you need to update or correct information on an invoice that has already been generated — whether it’s marked as PAID or UNPAID.
📌 Why Can’t I Edit Invoice Information After It’s Created? #
When an invoice is automatically generated by our system, it pulls the account profile details (or a designated billing contact, if set) that are saved at that moment. This includes:
- Full name or company name
- Address and country
- VAT or TRN (Tax Registration Number), if applicable
Important: Even if you update your account details afterward, the invoice will still reflect the original information that existed at the time of its creation.
This is in line with accounting best practices and local tax regulations, which require that financial documents remain unchanged once issued.
🔒 Can Invoice Details Be Modified? #
In most cases, no — especially if the invoice has already been PAID. Once marked as paid, invoices are locked and cannot be changed.
If the invoice is UNPAID, you may still have some options depending on the change required.

After updating, all future invoices will reflect the new information.
Existing invoices cannot be changed due to regulatory compliance.

Once an invoice is marked PAID, no changes — including tax numbers, names, or addresses — can be made.
