| Objective | Publish a Framer website on your AEserver domain. |
| Why customers use this | Fast way to launch a branded marketing site or startup page; Easy to keep domain ownership separate from the site builder |
| Records to expect | Framer shows the exact DNS records to add; commonly this includes A records for the root domain and a CNAME for www. |
Before you start
Have access to both your AEserver Client Area and your account at Framer.
Know whether you are connecting the root domain (example.com), a subdomain (such as www.example.com or shop.example.com), or both.
Take a quick screenshot or copy of any current DNS records before editing them, especially if the domain already has a live website or email service.
Step 1 – Get the DNS records from Framer
1. Log in to Framer and open your project.
2. Go to Site Settings > Domains.
3. Choose Connect a domain you own.
4. Copy the DNS records Framer gives you for the root domain and any subdomains.
Step 2 – Add the records in the AEserver Client Area
1. Sign in to your AEserver Client Area.
2. Open Domains and choose the domain.
3. Open DNS Management.
4. Create or update the records exactly as Framer provided them.
5. Remove conflicting old records for the same hostnames, then save.
Step 3 – Verify and finish
1. Return to Framer and allow it to validate the records. Then publish or re-publish your project to the connected domain.
2. Allow time for DNS propagation. Many changes appear within a few minutes or hours, but full propagation can take up to 24-48 hours.
3. Once the service shows as connected, test the live result. Open the website, send a test email, or visit the exact subdomain you connected.

Quick tips
Framer’s required IP addresses can change over time, so always use the values shown in your Framer project
If Framer asks for both root and www, set both before testing
Use a low/default TTL if you want faster future changes
Common issues and solutions
| Common problem | What it usually means / what to do |
| Framer shows domain errors | One or more records are old, incomplete, or duplicated |
| HTTPS is not ready yet | Framer may still be provisioning SSL after DNS first resolves |
| Visitors see inconsistent results | Wait for propagation and test from different networks |
